The Technical Editor will support the creation and maintenance of user friendly documentation for operational processes and procedures, including gathering information, preparing written text, and coordinating the layout and organization of manuals and policies.  Working with SME's including operations mgmt., sales mgmt., and IT staff to guarantee accurate and concise documentation to exceed customer expectations.  The role is more focused on editing and managing the delivery of the documents than content creation.

 

Duties:

 

* Writes, edits, and develops user manuals, training manuals, policy documents, and training aids.

* Work with subject matter experts and other Operations and IT specialists to ensure that documentation is accurate and clear.

 

This may possibly move to an FTE position

 

Requirements:


*  Must be self-starter, able to work well in a distributed environment relying heavily on telecommunication
* Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and written form
* Must have good organizational skills
* Must be able to follow established work flow, templates and style guidelines
* Must have ability to interpret work flow diagrams and other Subject Matter Expert (SME) input and translate into standardized documentation
* Must be able to work with both Jr. and Sr. employees to resolve open questions and implement redirection delivered by Functional and Business Owners
* Must be challenged and satisfied in a role that is approximately 75% editing
* Must be able to produce documentation of superior quality
* Must be committed to Total Customer Satisfaction
